Charlene Kaye Howard Keifer

Charlene Kaye Keifer, 77, of Swanton, OH passed away peacefully on June 8, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Charlene was born in Toledo, OH to Byron and Betty (Scott) Howard on March 8, 1941. She attended and graduated from Springfield High School, Holland, OH, and later she met and married the love of her life the late Carroll Keifer on December 16, 1961. After raising her children, Charlene filled her time as a dedicated employee with Burroughs Corp, later known as Unisys for 20 years and was ultimately promoted to Quality Assurance Supervisor before retiring. Charlene enjoyed gardening, flowers, collecting dolls, shopping and mostly spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her children, David (Mary) Keifer, Thomas (Becky) Keifer, Douglas (Robin) Keifer and Kathy (Raymond) Hall; 6 grandchildren, Tamara, Greg, Kaylyn, Kevin, Kyle and Benjamin; 6 great grandchildren, Gabriella, Deegan, Brayden, Maverick, Raylyn and Harper; sisters, Rebecca Grochowski, Deborah Burt, Mary Howard and Joyce Howard; brothers, James Howard and Robert Howard and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll; parents, Byron and Betty Howard; brothers, Thomas, Jack and Richard Howard and sister, Laura Howard. Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Neville-Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Roth Cemetery.
