On March 30, 2025, Chad E. Jones of Maumee, OH, went HOME to Jesus after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Since he always had nicknames for others, his were many – Chadwick, Earl, Chester Copperpot, Chiz, and Chadly to name just a few. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, subtle smile and distinct voice that kept everyone entertained. In his 25+ years with Lucas County Courts he had an impeccable work ethic. Chad was a loyal friend and easy for anyone to talk to. He had a passion for sports, especially the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, and an unbelievable ability to recall facts, names, and college mascots. Chad loved cats and had several over the years including Boo Kitty, Dillon, Willow, and Samoa. His infamous enthusiasm for food wowed and shocked those in his circle. Chad proudly served coffee in the Westgate Chapel Café as a dependable volunteer.
Left to an amazing village of friends to support them are his wife of 21 years, Wendy (Delauter); and son, Jack. Chad is also survived by his devoted parents, Randy (Sarah), Vicki Jones, and Robert Meyer; sister, Jami (Will); and niece, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his stepbrother, Cassidy (Anna) Mullins.
