Chad Michael Hatt, 46 of Port Clinton, passed away at his home Monday, October 5, 2020. Chad was born April 13, 1974 in Port Clinton the son of Marlene (Britt) and Lee Schultz. He was a 1992 graduate of Port Clinton High School and had worked at US Gypsum for 25 years. On September 15, 2012 he married Shannon Bowen and she survives. Chad loved fishing, hunting, riding his four wheeler, shooting pool and the Pittsburgh Steelers, but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. For Chad a great day was cooking on the grill, Busch Latte, ice cream for dessert and being called “Popaw”. Chad is survived by his wife, Shannon; parents, Marlene & Lee Schultz; son, Everett Hatt; daughters, Courtny Hatt, Trista Hatt “mini-me”, McKala Hatt “Tater salad”; step sons, Josh Herevia, Jacob Herevia; grandchildren, Meliah, Malahki, Makiah, Audrinna, Ayden, Ariya, King, Kash’Mere, Kamoria “Chubbles”; sister, Allison (Jamie) King; brother, Lee Schultz; nephews, Landon King, Levi Schultz; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Friends may call 2-6pm, Saturday, October 10, 2020 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington St, Port Clinton. Per Chad's family, they are requesting that everyone wear black and yellow if possible. Per the state mandate, facial coverings are required and social distancing is appreciated.
