Cathy A. Kunz

Cathy A. Kunz, age 74, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 22, 1950, in Toledo to the late Clifford and Wilma (Oehlers) Nuding. Cathy married Fred John Kunz on December 30, 1983, and they spent 24 wonderful years together before his passing on November 29, 2007.

Following graduation from Rogers High School in 1969, Cathy worked for many years in retail, primarily in the meat department at Churchill’s Market and Sam’s Club, retiring in 2021. A caregiver at heart, she found her greatest joy in attending to the needs of others. Cathy often shopped for friends and cared for family members during their times of convalescence. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Toledo.

Cathy is survived by her stepdaughters, Marilyn Robeson, Cindy (Rusty) Sinclair, and Carol Kunz; three grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; siblings, Craig Nuding and Carole (Wes) Walters; sister-in-law, Nancy Nuding; two nieces; a nephew; five great nieces and nephews; and special friend, Roger Fackler. Cathy was also preceded in death by brother, Chuck Nuding; and a granddaughter, Betsy Dieball.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Cathy will be privately laid to rest with her husband at Roth Cemetery in Monclova Twp.
