Catherine V Schramm

Catherine V. (Simon) Schramm, 88, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on November 1, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Perrysburg on January 11, 1928 to George A. and Leona B. (Haas) Simon. Catherine worked as an accounting clerk at Prestolite Electric formally Allied Signal Corp/Electric Autolite Co. She retired in 1987 after 40 ½ years. Catherine married her sweetheart, Norman R. Schramm on February 5, 1955 in St. Rose Catholic Church. They were married for 36 years before Norman passed away on November 22, 1991. Catherine was a devoted member of St. Rose Catholic Church. She was a member of the Alter Rosary Society, Helping Hands and was a Eucharistic Minister. Catherine is survived by her brother, Vincent J. (Dorothy) Simon, Sr. of Perrysburg, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman R. Schramm; siblings, Cyril “Skee” Simon, Margaret L. Simon, Genevieve “Jenny” Guhl, George W. Simon, Helen R. Spratt, Mary F. Robertson and Richard Simon. Friends will be received at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133) on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM with a scripture service at 7:00 PM. Funeral prayers will begin on Monday, November 7, 2016 in the funeral home at 9:45 AM with a funeral mass at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front St., Perrysburg, Ohio starting at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Rose Catholic Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
