Catherine passed away peacefully from the complications of Alzheimers disease at Heartland of Waterville, where she had been cared for, for several years. She was born to the late, Edwin Fetcher, in Angola Ind. Catherine was a 1942 graduate of Woodward High School, Toledo and the former Robinwood Hospital School of Nursing as a RN in 1944. A career that spanned over forty years in Obstetrical, Geriatrics, and end of life care. Catherine raised three children in Maumee, Ohio and in the mid 1960s expanded her family to include four more. She was always generous with her time and efforts, being a selfless volunteer for both St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Maumee, and Christ Lutheran, Toledo. She will be remembered for her smiling demeanor, and offerings of fresh baked goods. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 35 years, William E. McCaughtry. She is survived by her children, Melynda Little of Kansas City, MO, Keith Mia Little of Rockledge, FL, Brian Little of Maumee, Linda Morris Dhondt of Monclova, OH, Patrick Mary McCaughtry of Fort Meyers, FL, Mick McCaughtry of Albuquerque, NM and Phillip Lori McCaughtry of Toledo. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Maison-Dardenne Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, OH on Friday May 15, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM where funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
