Cassidy K. Sanders

Cassidy K. Sanders, 17, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away tragically in an auto accident on Friday, October 14, 2022, in Curtice, Ohio. Cassidy was born in Toledo, Ohio, on March 7, 2005, to Scott Sanders and Dawn (Kloshen) Norden.

Cassidy was a senior at Genoa High School looking forward to her graduation in 2023. For the last several months she has been working at Taco Bell in Genoa. Her friends would describe her as a “goofball” and “the life of the party,” just a person who loved being around others and having a good time. She was also a confidante of her friends, always there to help and support them, especially her besties, Brooke, Jada, MaKenda, and Violet. Wherever Cassidy was, there was laughter and fun! She loved the outdoors, spending time with her boyfriend Matt, whom she fell for while working at McDonalds. They went to Pearson Park, Maumee Bay and the beach at Vermilion, Ohio and spent many nights sitting around a campfire. She also loved all animals, including rabbits, frogs, fish, which she had as pets.

Cassidy looked forward to Sunday’s when she attended services at Bethel Assembly of God church in Perrysburg, Ohio and then going to her sister Sarah’s house afterwards. Family has always been important to her. Spending time with her nieces and nephews was always a special treat for her and them. Cassidy, and the brightness she brought, will be missed by her family and friends.

Cassidy is survived by her siblings, Katie (Dan) Roepke, Sarah (Dallas) Norden, Matthew (Lexie) Duval, Hannah Norden, Levi Norden, and her twin brother, Charlie Sanders, nieces, Annabelle and Harper, nephews, Chayse, Carson, Tylin, Aydrien, Logan and Owen, boyfriend, Matt Goulet, close family, Michael Duval, and Mary Toth, continued family, aunt Robin, cousins, Hollie, Jodie, and Chris, grandmother, Barb Sanders, mother, Dawn Norden and father, Scott Sanders. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Eugene Sanders.

Visitation for Cassidy will be held from 2:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 665 W. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg, Ohio.
