Cassandra J. Schmidt

Cassandra J. Schmidt, 70, of Catawba Island, OH passed away, Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Stein Hospice Inpatient Unit, Sandusky, OH. Cassy was born on December 12, 1954 in Marion, OH to the late Fred H. and Garnet R. (Jones) Forry. She was married to the late Douglas E. Schmidt. Cassy worked for Frontier Communications and retired in 2017. She enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and traveling.

Cassy is survived by her son, Chad D. (Christy) Schmidt; grandson, Griffin D. Schmidt; partner, Evan Ebersole; and many other family members and special friends.

Cassy’s family will have a Celebration of Life for her at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Cassy may be given to Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH.
