Carson “Kit” Lipscomb Jr. age 85 of Toledo passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, in his home. He was born in Buffalo, NY on January 12, 1936, to Carson and Lora (Pettit) Lipscomb Sr. Carson and grew up on the banks of the Maumee River Carson and was a proud graduate of Maumee High School class of 1955. He served his country during the Korean War and was stationed in Bermuda. Carson was a certified Journeyman electrician and was employed at GM Powertrain for 31 years. He also served on the plant fire brigade. He was a lifetime member of HVYC; the Retiree Breakfast Club; Sylvania Moose Lodge, F.O.A.; Retiree Golf Club where he served as secretary. Carson was an Avid golfer and given many awards and improvement trophies. He will be remembered for the love he had for his large family. Carson made the tradition of talking all the grandkids to see Santa every year and driving up and down the Maumee River after Church on Sunday’s. He was a man with a huge heart and will be dearly missed. Surviving are his children, Tony (Lori) Lipscomb, James (Jodi) Lipscomb, Joe Lipscomb and Karen (Heath) Lipscomb and Christine (Joseph) Credit; grandchildren, Robert, Heather (AJ), Brandon, Jennifer, Jim Jr., Jacob, Aiden, Taylor, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Tahiya, Peyton, Sawyer, Mason, Persphone and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Carson was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; daughters, Patricia and Jennifer and brother, Ralph. Family and Friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 2:00-8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane Toledo, on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Ft. Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg, OH.
