Carrol I. Krukemyer

Carrol I. Krukemyer, 84, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, after a brief illness. She was born in Martin, Ohio on October 14, 1938, to the late Herman and Susan (Jensen) Oberhaus. Carrol graduated from Clay High School in 1956 and later met Henry R. Krukemyer. They were married on June 4, 1961, at St. John Lutheran Church in Williston, Ohio.

Carrol was a legal secretary for over 30 years at a law firm in downtown Toledo and an active member of St. John Lutheran Church, Williston where she taught Sunday School for many years. Carrol loved spending time with her family and especially her granddaughters. She also spent many hours working in her yard, researching family genealogy and completing jigsaw puzzles.

Carrol is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Henry, daughter, Connie (Bill) Burden, son, Todd (Amy) Krukemyer, granddaughters, Jennifer and Mackenzie Krukemyer, brother, Tom (Barb) Oberhaus, and sister, Janet Purney, along with other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.

Per Carrol’s wishes, her funeral will be private. Those wishing to make a donation in her memory, are asked to consider St. John Lutheran Church, P O Box 235, Williston, Ohio 43468, or the Donor’s Choice.
