Carolyn L Smithers

Carolyn Louise Smithers age 69 formerly of Monclova, OH passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 in Howell, MI. Carolyn was born in Troy, OH on September 18, 1941 to Paul and Helen Thornberry Brown. Carolyn was a teacher at Penta County Vocational School for 27 years retiring in 1996. She also taught at Anthony Wayne High School and was once employed at the Pharm Pharmacy in Maumee. She was a member of Fowlerville United Methodist Chruch. former member of Waterville United Methodist Church; N.E.A. and O.E.A. Surviving are her daughter-law, Pamela Smithers; grandchildren, William and Megan and sister in-law, Jane Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, William N. Smithers; son, William E. Smithers; brother, Paul A. Brown and her parents. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 3-5 pm and 6-8 pm. where a memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am.
