Carolyn J. Eshbaugh

Carolyn J. Eshbaugh, 81, of Port Clinton, died Saturday, February 07, 2015 at Stein Hospice Inpatient Unit in Sandusky. She was born on June 12, 1933 in Benton Township, OH to Arthur H. and Thelma L. (Snider) Deitzel. On June 27, 1986 in Port Clinton she married Owen Eshbaugh, and he survives. Carolyn was a member of the V.F.W., Eagles, and Moose Lodge all in Port Clinton. She was an avid bowler, boater, and played the organ. Carolyn also enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, dancing, and riding motorcycles. She especially loved her grandkids. In addition to her loving husband of 28 years, Owen, she is survived by her son: Richard (Natalie) Taylor, daughter: Rebecca “Becky” Fahey, step-son: Gerald M. (Jackie) Eshbaugh, 3 grandchildren: Laura (Matt) Homik, Steve (Teresa) Wilkins, and Rich Taylor, 2 step-grandchildren: Sarah and Katlyn Eshbaugh, 4 great grandchildren, brother: Robert Deitzel, and sisters: Linda (Doug) Davis and Mary Chilicote. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Vera, Phyllis, Kathryn, Kenneth, Donald, and Darla Jean. Memorial services for Carolyn will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton.
