Carolyn June (Pavuk) Bowlander

June 20, 1938 — February 19, 2024

Carolyn J. Bowlander of Genoa, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 19, 2024. Carolyn was 85 years of age.

Carolyn was born to loving parents, Michael and Thelma (Rist) Pavuk, on June 20, 1938, and then went on to become the big sister to brother Michael (Butch) Pavuk and Linda Jones. She was a wonderful sister to her siblings and she assisted in caring for Butch at the end of his life comforting him and loving him as only she knew how.

Carolyn married her husband Edward Bowlander on January 12, 1967, and spent the next 57 years as husband and wife raising two daughters and then welcoming grandchildren and great-children whom she adored.

Carolyn and Ed spent the first 20 years or so after retirement wintering in Cortez, Florida where they thrived in the winter months away from the cold Ohio weather. But what Carolyn loved most was her family, attending children, grandchildren and great-grandchildrens’ school and athletic events right up until her death. She was truly the heart of her family and all of us knew just how much she loved us with all her heart.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Edward, her sister Linda (Ken) Jones and nephew Blake Jones (Emily Fitch), sister-in-law Margaret Bowlander, her two adoring daughters Pam (Ron) Farmer and Cindy (Fred) Huss, her grandchildren Jake (Katie) Huss, Nicole (Steve) Branam, Kyle (Amanda) Huss, and Olivia Farmer and great grandchildren Noah Huss, Kenzie Huss, Nathan Branam, Connor Huss, Blaine Huss, Taylor Branam and Owen Huss.

Carolyn’s loving heart, kindness, generosity and most of all her presence in our daily lives will be missed by us all. Until we meet again…….
