Carole Jean Gray (Woggermon) of Toledo, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 20th, 2016 at the age of 79. She was born on July 25th, 1936 to Charles and Lena (Keel) Woggermon of Swanton, OH and was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Waite High School in 1954. On Sept. 7, 1957 Carole married Thomas Gray, the father of two sons (Randolph and Kim). They went on to welcome two more children, son, Marcus and daughter, Julie. In addition to her children she was Godmother to the beloved Hufford children. Carole worked for the Toledo Municipal Court for 4 years before leaving to help with the family business, Gray Plumbing and Heating. After 23 years there, she returned as Deputy Clerk for the Toledo Municipal Court and served the City for another 22 years. As the matriarch of the Grays, Carole prided herself on nourishing her family. Food is love, and both were abundant. Carole had many friends everywhere. She was renowned for her cooking and the delight she took in entertaining. The holidays were celebrated with gusto, and her home was always festive with decorations fitting the season. At her table there was always room for one more. Carole also enjoyed boating and relaxing at her home on Devil’s Lake, as well as playing bridge. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas, sister, Opal Whitney, brother, Roy R. Fay, and son, Kim Gray. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Gray, son, Marcus Gray (Susan MacPhee), son, Randolph Gray (Virginia Ortega), and grandchildren, Mia Ortega Gray, Dominick Gray and Natalie Gray. She is also survived by daughters-in-law, Ximena Gray and Diane Gray Spino. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, July 24, 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 West Sylvania, Toledo, OH, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM.
