Carol J. Szirotnyak

Carol Jean Szirotnyak, age 79, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021. Her thoughtful, compassionate nature, ready smile, and gentle strength will be fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched. She was born February 18, 1942 and was a proud lifelong resident of Toledo’s Birmingham neighborhood. A 1960 CCHS graduate, she was employed for many years in the Medical Records Department of St. Vincent Medical Center. In retirement she could often be found baking, gardening, reading, or relaxing with her beloved pets. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis “Fritz” Toth, and her mother, Elizabeth (Borie) Toth. She is survived by her children Steven (Camilla) Szirotnyak, Michael and Andrew Sirotnyak, and Amy (Gregory) Gordon; sister, Patricia Sibbersen, and brothers, Timothy and Thomas Toth; and grandchildren, Christopher, Nathan, and Natalie Gordon. Family and friends will gather from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 14th at Walker Funeral Home in Oregon, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Planned Pethood or the Toledo Area Humane Society.
