Carol J. Swartz, 75, of Oak Harbor died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. She was born on January 14, 1934 in Toledo to Elroy and Helen M. Kohlman Foreman. Carol graduated from Waite High School in 1952. On August 7, 1971 in Maumee she married Laurel A. Swartz, and he survives. Carol and her husband owned and operated Jamin Hall in Toledo for 13 years, retiring in 2000. Carol liked the 3 Gs: grandchildren, gospel, and gambling. She was a collector of many things, enjoyed making dolls toys, and was a fantastic baker. Carol was a perfectionist in everything she did. In addition to her loving husband of 38 years, Laurel, she is survived by daughter: Lisa Randy Ramsey of Toledo, son: Jeffrey Orthie Martin of Kirkland, WA, daughter: Kim Charles Lamar of Fountain Hills, AZ, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, step-daughters: Roseann Jerrol Feudi of Toledo and Roxanne Bruce Gackstetter of Curtice, step-sons: Rick Tina Swartz, Terrence Sherri Swartz, and Timothy Margie Swartz all of Toledo, 19 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, brother: Gordon Foreman of Florida, sister: Jane Foreman of Toledo, and brother: Roger Patricia Foreman of Ervin, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandchild, and 2 step-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor with a Celebration of Life service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions in memory of Carol may be given to a charity of the donors choice.
