Carol St. John, 79, passed away Thursday morning, December 19, 2013, at her daughters home in Oregon, Ohio. Carol was born May 8, 1934, in Curtice, Ohio, to Karl and Myrtle Decant Vogelpohl. On February 12, 1955, she married Romee F. St. John and he preceded her in death in June 1983. Carol was a homemaker and loved to paint and read. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oregon. Carol had a special love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she enjoyed the company of her dog, Tillie. Surviving Carol are her children: Quinton Margaret St. John, Debra St. John-Bodi, Denise Lewis Barros, Angie Tony Romano, Julie Tim Hartford, Kaye Rick Jacobs, Chris Maria St. John, Annette Scott Hites, Paul Toni St. John, Aime Jack Jones and Alex Darlene St. John; 31 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Myrtle, husband, Romee, sisters, Audrey Wolf and Marian Vogelpohl and brothers, Rolland and Freddie. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Saturday, December 21, and 2-8 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. Prayers will be offered at 9:00 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2013, at the funeral home, with the Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Stadium Rd., Oregon. Burial will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials for Carol to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551; or St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, OH 43616.
