Carol J. Keaton, 70, of Oak Harbor, OH, passed away, Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 22, 1942 in Norwalk, OH, the daughter of Harry and Hazel Post McGuckin Sr. On September 15, 1979 in Port Clinton, OH, she married Dennis W. Keaton and he survives. Carol was the owner/operator of Carols Canvas, Catawba Island, OH. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Husband: Dennis W. Keaton; Children: Scot Searight, Timothy Searight, Kimberly Searight, Lorne Sara Searight, Renda Andy Loetz, Heidi Hill and Marllo Tommy Jones; 16 Grandchildren; 4 Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Margaret Baughman and several loving Nieces and Nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Harry McGuckin Jr. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Thursday, September 12, 2013 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton, OH. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am, Friday, September 13, 2013 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH. Memorials in memory of Carol may be given to the Ottawa County Humane Society, 2424 E. Sand Rd., Port Clinton, OH 43452.
