Carol Ann Reed

Carol Reed, 79, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born on December 3, 1944, in New York, NY, the daughter of Roy and Mary (Nikolas) Nurge, Sr.

Carol loved crocheting and doing crafts, especially diamond dots. She also loved to go fishing, and never left the house without having her eyebrows on. LOL! She was an avid seafood lover, especially crab legs, and also loved to snack on popcorn and spicy gum drops. She enjoyed getting her nails done and spending time with family.

Carol had a wonderful heart for her family and others, as she had an open door for anyone who needed a place to stay. She was kindhearted to anyone in need and never judged anyone as she always saw the good in others.

Her immediate family includes her children: David “Bear” Bergman, Savina, Mildred Rupp, Jessika Marie Fox (deceased), and Stephanie McGowen Doty; grandchildren, Jennifer, Dennis, Lilka, Raymond (Jessica), Malissa (Garrett), Christil (Lalo), Shannon, Summer, Nic (Tracy), Kristianna, Richie (deceased), Johnny, Laryssa (Marsh); great-grandchildren, Angel, Anthony, Autumn, Mariah, Alivia, Jacob, Sophia, Amelia, Alexis, Drake, Nautica (Garrett), Rolando (Arriyanna), Paris (Oak), Savedio (Cianna), Savannah, Brayden, Kennedy, Zakk, Alexx, Shayne, Jordyn, Kade, Rykkie, Malakai, Bella, Jameson; and two great-great-grandchildren. Carol had many other loving friends and extended family members.

Friends will be received on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 4-7 p.m., where a funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
