Carol J. Peters

Carol J. Peters, 82, of Oak Harbor died Friday, June 24, 2016, at the Genoa Retirement Village, Genoa. She was born on December 3, 1933, in Sandusky, Ohio, to Carl and Frieda (Glaser) Everson. She previously worked in the kitchen/dietary department at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, for 26 years before retiring in 2000. Carol loved sports, especially golf, basketball, and football. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She also enjoyed bird watching, playing Bingo, and listening to The Beatles music. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Carol is survived by her son, Dan Peters of Oak Harbor, four grandchildren, Jennifer (Doug Wilcox) Peters, Cindy (Jonathan) Kurtz, Kristina (Adam) Swiger, and Joshua Peters; four great grandchildren, Adam Kurtz, Christopher Critter Kurtz, Fredrick Swiger, and Richard Fillmore; and brother, Dean Everson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, David Peters. Visitation for Carol will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor, where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Cheryl Matla officiating. Burial will take place in Rusha Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorials for Carol may be directed to Carroll Township Fire & E.M.S., 11080 W. Toussaint East Rd., Oak Harbor, OH 43449.
