Carol L. Northrup

Carol Louise Northrup, age 89, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away on April 2, 2024, at Valley View Health Center in Fremont, Ohio. She was born to Rex and Grace (Franklin) Hamman in Cygnet, Ohio on April 20, 1934. Carol married ReVerda Eugene “Scootch” Northrup in North Baltimore, Ohio on August 30, 1950, and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2003.

Carol was a homemaker in life, taking care of her family as they grew up. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor, Ohio. She was a former member of the Fremont Moose Lodge for many years. Carol enjoyed fishing, spending quality time with her grandchildren, and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed all types of flowers, but roses were her favorite.

Carol is survived by her children, Jack (Twyla) Northrup of Oak Harbor, Susan Kay (Wayne) Fick of Ashland, Ronald (Jamie) Northrup of Conway, South Carolina, Donald (Terri) Northrup of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and sister, Betty Jo Hinton of Findlay. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren,13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, David Rex and Phillip Mark Hammon.

Friends and family may be received from 9:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 165 E. Water Street, Oak Harbor, Ohio. A funeral service performed by Pastor Cheryl Wessel will be held at the funeral home on April 6, 2024, at 11:00am following visiting hours. Memorial donations made in Carol’s honor may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Oak Harbor. Arrangements for Carol were made in the care of Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory.
