Carol Ann Hiner

Carol Ann Hiner, age 82, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Sunset Village in Sylvania. The daughter of John and Dorothy Rihacek, she was born July 21, 1935. She was graduate of Central Catholic High School. Carol was a Pharmacy Technician at Kahler Pharmacy for 35 years before retiring. She enjoyed collecting figurines and other forms of art as well as painting ceramics. She also loved music and traveling, especially her trips to Hawaii and Rome. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. Carol remained over the years very close with a high school group of friends that called themselves the Tri Gs. She will be remembered most for be a loving mother who supported her children in all their endeavors. The true joy of her life was spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, DJ (Barb) Hiner, Kelly (Brian) Hilton, Jill (Todd) Seufer; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; sister, Charlotte Rihacek and brother, John Rihacek. Friends may visit the family on Thursday 4-7 p.m. and Friday 2-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Homes 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd). Funeral services will begin with prayers at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo 1842 Airport Hwy Toledo, OH 43609.
