Perrysburg

Carol Grimm, 78, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025 at Kingston Residence of Sylvainia.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Grimm; her parents, Vernard and Alice Crist; her sister, Joanne Garver; her sister-in-law, Ann Burke; and Ann’s husband, Gordon.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, June (Steve) Jackson; her brother-in-law, Jack (Sue) Grimm; her children, Jim (Tosca), Jennie (Gary) Kleinfelter, and Andy (Amanda); her grandchildren, Joey (Megan), Tyson, Naomi (Devin), Jamie, Caitlin, Aiden, and Anderson; and her great-grandchildren, Julien and Addison. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews—Julie (Dave), John (Teri), Chris, Craig (Carrie), Allison (Jason), Chrissy, Phil (Annie), and Matt (Stacey)—along with their families..

Carol proudly served as a secretary for Maumee City Schools, beginning in 1994 and retiring in 2022. To her friends and colleagues, she was professional, organized and a steady presence. Her lighthearted humor and joyful spirit brightened the halls and made her a treasured part of the school community.

Time spent with her family was legendary. Whether it was the famous Grimm Olympics, swimming, playing games, or sharing stories that echoed through generations, Carol created moments filled with joy and connection. She loved passing down traditions, telling stories of the past, and cooking the treasured family recipes that brought everyone together.

As a mother, she was supportive, wise, and endlessly encouraging, always ready with advice, comfort, or a playful quip to lighten any moment. As a grandmother, she was actively involved in her grandchildren’s lives—attending school events, sporting events, plays, and recitals—and making each visit memorable. She shared that same warmth with her nieces and nephews, creating treasured memories during holidays and summer gatherings filled with laughter, traditions, and the simple joy of being together.

Carol was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Maumee and later Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. She loved cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes, and she enjoyed sharing her enthusiasm for sports with friends and family.

Carol’s life was a celebration of love, laughter, and family. Her quick wit, devotion to family, endless support and infectious humor will be remembered and cherished by all who had the joy of knowing her.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Kingston Perrysburg and Kingston Sylvania, where she made many friends and received exceptional care, and to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their invaluable support during difficult times.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s honor to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
