Carol DeShetler

Carol DeShetler was born on February 10, 1947. She was one of two daughters and one son born to Frederick and Rita (Reinlein) DeShetler. A lifelong resident of Toledo, Ohio, Carol graduated from St. Ursula Academy. She was a longtime employee of Rite-Aid pharmacy. Carol was a very generous person who was both artistically and musically talented.  A devout Catholic, Carol was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral in Toledo.

Carol DeShetler, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frederick DeShetler and Rita DeShetler and her brother, Robert DeShetler. Carol is survived by her sister Bonnie (Kenneth) Shea of Irvine, California; nieces: Kerry Shea and Natalie DeShetler (Sam Stephenson); nephews: David Shea, Benjamin DeShetler (Courtney), and Neil DeShetler; and grandnephews: Fred (Kerry), Max (Natalie), Jack (Benjamin), Henry (Benjamin) and grandniece Kate (Benjamin) and cousins Mia McCarthy, Blythe McCarthy, and Glenna McCarthy Moose.

Services for Carol will be private. Her care has been entrusted to Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio.
