Carol Charlene Caldwell

In a world that’s lost and looking for light, Carol Charlene Caldwell, 87, of Rossford, was the warmth and comfort of home to all who were blessed to know her. Now, she has made it to her true home in heaven.

The middle of 5 daughters, Carol was born to be the center of her family. As someone who not only knew Jesus, but who showed us what He was like by the way she lived -- she treated everyone she met as if they were her family, too. The ultimate hostess, a lover of animals, the perfect blend of sweet and sassy, a style icon, and a devoted Mainstreet Church member, it wouldn’t be hyperbolic to say she was beloved by everyone around her -- none more so than her husband of 68 years, Jim.

Those also missing her are her children, Tom (Amanda) and Nancy (Mike) Hogrefe, both of Rossford. She delighted in her 5 granddaughters as well as her 7 great-grandchildren. The world may feel a little dimmer without her light, but the many candles she lit along her path will now lead the next generation towards a home in heaven where she’ll be waiting for us (hopefully with warm cinnamon rolls in hand).

A memorial and celebration of her servant hearted life will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Mainstreet Church (5465 Moline-Martin Rd. Walbridge, Ohio 43465). Prior to the service at the Church, the family will have a time of visitation and memory sharing from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a suggested memorial can be made to Mainstreet Church in her honor.
