Carol Ann Ambrose

Carol Ann Ambrose, 79, of Curtice, Ohio passed away on September 11, 2021, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born in Coshocton, Ohio on July 27, 1942, to Charles E. and Margaret (Shurtz) Hackenbracht. Carol graduated from West Lafayette High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. Carol married William “Bill” E. Ambrose in Coshocton, on August 14, 1971, and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2008. Carol taught special education in Johnstown, Ohio for seven years and later at Riverview Industries in Oak Harbor, Ohio for two years. She also was a sales associate for Elder-Beerman and The Andersons. Carol relished life and the many experiences it had to offer. She loved flower and vegetable gardening, going to the zoo and the Toledo Symphony, traveling to Amish country and especially holidays, with her favorite being Thanksgiving. She played Bunco, was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, pampered her cats and was always up for a good milkshake and pizza. Carol is survived by her loving family, daughters, Sue (Jennifer) Ambrose and Jennifer Voltz, son, Todd (Theresa) Ambrose, granddaughters, Star and Amanda Ambrose, and sister, Linda Hackenbracht. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Anne E. Ambrose and brother, Phillip Hackenbracht. Visitation for Carol will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 15, 2021, in the funeral home followed by interment in the Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, Ohio.
