Carol Ann Agosti, 79, passed away surrounded by her family and friends on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Carol was born on December 10, 1945, to Audrey and Edmund “Butch” Conlan in Toledo. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom and Jim Conlan, her brothers-in-law, David Hoffmann and David Agosti, and nephew, Matthew Juette.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Denny; her children: Denise (Eddie) Robles, Bryan (Casey) Agosti and Alison (Dan) Pierce; sister Sharon Hoffmann; grandchildren: Riley (Micah) Neuser, Luc Agosti, Mackenna Agosti, Laci Pierce, Kay Pierce, Teagan Agosti, Jessica Robles, Nathan Robles and Callan Agosti; sisters-in-law: Carroll Conlan, Karen (Larry) Juette, Deborah Agosti, Dianne (Larry) Banachowski; brothers-in-law: Kevin (Wilma) Agosti, Doug (Mara) Agosti; many nieces and nephews; lifetime friends Marcia Rahe and Pat Stricker; Close Park family and many friends.
Carol graduated from Central Catholic High School (1963) and Mercy School of Nursing (1966), but her education was not complete. While raising her family and working, Carol, along with 2 friends, decided to attend the University of Toledo (UT), graduating in 1979 (BEd) and 1989 (MEd).
Her working career began at Mercy Hospital where she was employed until the hospital closed. In 1980, Carol began working as a Diabetes Educator, a position she loved. When Mercy Hospital closed, Carol was hired by the Endocrine and Diabetes Care Center where she worked until she retired in 2012.
Carol married Denny Agosti in 1969 and recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. Together, they set a beautiful example of a marriage filled with love. Carol was a loving, thoughtful and kind mother and grandmother - always ready to listen or offer good sound advice. She was a long time member of Blessed Sacrament Parish.
She loved spending time with her family, reading books, cheering on the UT women’s basketball team, traveling with her friends, golfing with her husband and friends, and meeting with her nurse friends for breakfast. She will definitely be missed by all who knew her.
A gathering will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W Sylvania Ave. in Toledo, OH on Monday, November 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial services will be at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 2240 Castlewood Dr. in Toledo, OH on Tuesday, November 4th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
