Carl Musial

Carl Norman Musial, 84, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 1, 1940, to John and Lucille (Kruzel) Musial. Carl was a 1958 graduate of Macomber High School. He married his beloved wife, Lorraine, and spent over 33 wonderful years together before her passing in 1996. Carl loved camping, fishing, and racing his 1955 Chevy back in the day. He was a talented bowler, bowling a 300, and enjoyed playing poker. He assisted in many wild game dinners at the Spicer Sportsman Club. Carl had a sweet tooth, enjoying chocolate milkshakes, chocolate chip cookies with cold milk, or savory favorites of scallops and a cold Michelob Ultra.

Carl, affectionately known as “Papa” to many, is survived by his children, Karen (Patrick) Henry, Timothy (Amy) Musial, Steve Musial, Dana (Brian) Blankenship; grandchildren, Shane, Emily, Brandon (Brittany), Molly, Tony, Zachary, Bradley, Shaunna (Ryan), Shelby, and Grace; great-grandchildren, Micah, Brady, Kaynen, Blair, Norah, Braylee; sister, Joan Jakubowski; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lorraine; parents; and brother-in-law, Paul Jakubowski.

A Rosary will be recited on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623, where visitation will follow from 3-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, OH 43623, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The family would like to thank Ohio Living Hospice for their care and comfort in the final weeks.
