Rev. Carl Paul Miller, age 74, of Luckey, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Mercy- St. Vincent Hospital after being involved in an auto accident. Carl was born on June 6, 1943 at Fort Benning’s, Georgia to Paul C. and Anna Mary (Huff) Miller. He married Mary Ann Cox on November 15, 1975. Carl worked for Chrysler Corporation Machining Plant as a Repair Welder on the Torque Converter Assembly Line Department, retiring on December 31, 1998. He was an ordained Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Good Will Spiritualist Church in Walbridge, Ohio; a calling he took seriously. Helping to guide others was a part of that calling. In his younger days he was a very avid motorcycle enthusiast. He not only made a “trike”, he made a kit to turn a two wheel motorcycle into a three wheeler, which he ultimately adapted to being used as a somewhat snowmobile. He also built and raced go carts until his last few years. He was always inventing, leaving so many projects incomplete. He was a confirmed follower of the course in miracles, at one time leading a class and inspiring others. His greatest joy was his family and friends. He loved each and every person who was privileged to be a part of his journey. His son Paul, daughter-in-law, Angela; grandchildren, Alex, Mike, Cory, Corin, Kalie, Camron, Kaitlyn; along with his great granddaughters, Emma and Sophia, were a source of pride and joy. He felt life was a gift and lived his well. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rev. Mary Ann Miller; son, Paul; daughter-in-law, Angela (whom he loved as a daughter); seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Stanley (Kathy) miller; brother-in-law, James Cox; Carl’s son, Ron (Mona Vargas) Miller; many nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; and many more friends than can be counted. He is being missed by his two Great Danes, Queenie and Gypsie. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mike; grandson, Connor; and sister, Carolyn Cizauskas. Friends will be received on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge (419-666-3121). Visitation will continue at the Funeral Home on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 12:00 Noon, with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 P.M. Memorial contributions in Carl’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice or to the Good Will Spiritualist Church.
