Carl D. Kowalski

Carl D. Kowalski, age 88 of Toledo passed away suddenly Thursday, October 18, 2018 in St. Anne Mercy Hospital. He was born July 27, 1930 in Toledo to Walter and Jane (Radlinski) Kowalski. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia (Krall) Kowalski on October 20, 1951 and she survives. Carl was the manager of the Design Engineering Department at Owens Corning Fiberglas retiring in 1986. He was a 50 year member of Christ the King Church, a great engineer, terrific artist and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving is his wife Pat; daughter Linda McGinnis; son Carey F. (Kathy) Kowalski, daughter-in-law Terry Kowalski; grandchildren Ryan (Sara) Kowalski, Kristine McGinnis, Allison (Allen) Laurel, Andrea (Tom) Mace; 4 great-grandchildren and sister Barbara Wisniewski. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Craig D. Kowalski; and brother John Kowalski. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 2-8 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) where the rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Funeral services will begin Tuesday in the funeral home at 9:30 am followed by the funeral mass at 10 am in Christ the King Church 4100 Harvest Lane Toledo, Ohio. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the church. Condolences may be shared with the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com
