Carl L. Frank

Carl L. Frank, age 83, passed away Monday June 13, 2011 at his home. The son of Martin and Agnes, he was born Feb. 18, 1928 in Toledo. Carl was a Toledo firefighter for 33 years, retiring in 1981. Carl was a member of the Zenobia Shrine Drum Corp and the Scottish Rite. He volunteered for many years as a driver for the Zenobia Shrine Childrens Hospital and tirelessly delivered potatoes to many local charities for over 40 years. Carl also volunteered at the Toledo Firefighters Museum and was one the cellar dwellers. He loved to attend the various single dances around town. He is survived by his children, Diane Jim Johnson, Kim Tony Wolf, David Frank, Art Pam Garn; grandchildren, John Wolf, Kelli Anne, Traci Sartor, Nicholas, Amanda, Tyler Garn; great grandchild, Aubrey; brother, Howard Carol Frank; sister, Sharon Greene; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Rita; second wife, Harriett; sons, Tom and Jeff; and daughter, Melanie. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 6-9 PM and 2-9 PM Friday at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave west of Corey Rd, Toledo, OH where services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday.
