Carl E. Voss, 82, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Otterbein Northshore Senior Life Center in Lakeside, Ohio. He was born on January 10, 1939 in Port Clinton, Ohio, the son of Carl A. and Helen (Winters) Voss. He is survived by his wife of almost 61 yrs, Sandra Woodworth. Carl graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1957 and joined the US Navy where he served from 1957-1961. Following his honorable discharge from the military, he went to work at US Gypsum where he worked until his retirement. Following retirement, he worked in sales at Carter Lumber. Carl was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and served as Exalted Ruler for a number of years. He was also a member of Peace Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Sandra; daughter, Denise (Lee) Grimm, Arlington, Tennessee; son, Michael (Melissa) Voss, Dublin, Ohio; grandchildren, Shawna (Ray) Gallardo, Logan Grimm, Corinne (Anthony) Renya, Elizabeth Voss, Emily Voss; four great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Sagel, Port Clinton; brother, Kevin (Kim) Voss, Romeo, Michigan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Carl Dean Voss; and his brother, Dennis Voss. Visitation will be held at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio, on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 10 am until Funeral Services at 11 am with Pastor Dane Meuschke officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, 900 Jefferson Street, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452.
