Carl H. Brandenberger

Brandenberger Carl H. Carl H. Brandenberger, age 92, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Kettering Hospital in Kettering, OH. The son of George and Christina Brandenberger, Carl was born Oct. 30, 1916 in Toledo, OH where he resided for 88 years. Carl was a graduate of Ohio State University and retired from Plabell Rubber Co. after 29 years as Sales Manager. He was a longtime member of Hope Lutheran Church in Toledo. Carl was raised a Master Mason in the Rubicon Lodge No. 237 and served that lodge in the Jeweled Fellowcraft Team and is a Past Master. He is a member of Ft. Meigs Chapter, Grafton M. Acklin Council, Fayette Lyttle Commandery, a Past Thrice Potent Master of Mi A Mi Lodge of Perfection Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, past Manager and Treasurer of the Drum & Bugle Corp. of Zenobia Shrine Temple, and past Trustee of the Board of Directors of the Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo. He was honored by the Supreme Council of AASR in 1979 by being awarded the Honorary 33rd degree. Carl was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanne. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Carl is survived by his son, William Barbara of Phoenix, AZ and daughter , Carol Tom of Centerville, OH., his grandchildren, Karen Lane, Eric Anna, Todd Susan, and Tracey Larry and 9 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 1-2 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd Toledo, OH where services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carls memory may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, P.O. Box 437, Toledo, OH 43697-0437.
