Calvin E. Webster, age 80, passed away on June 1, 2019. Calvin was born in Toledo on July 14, 1938, the son of the late Ernest and Edvena Webster. Calvin proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he obtained his G.E.D., as well as the reserves after being honorably discharged from three years of active duty. During this time, he met his first wife, Carol and were married for 37 years until her passing in 1996. In 1998, Calvin married his second life-partner, Loretta and they shared 21 years together. After his service, he devoted his time to the railroad. Calvin loved to travel throughout his life and this reflected during his 36 year career as a railroad engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad. After retirement, he traveled the country with Lori, stopping at every casino along the way. He was known for his slow but detailed wood work and the devotion toward his family. Calvin is survived by his wife, Lori Webster; children, Lisa Webster, Scott (Annette) Webster, Mike (Becky) Webster, and Toni Webster; grandchildren, Amanda, Dustin, Sydney, Baylee, Emily, as well as great-grandchildren, Brianna, Dustin and Keyna; siblings, Philip Webster and Judy (Jim) Potts, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Guy Webster and siblings, Ralph Webster and Calvena Potts. Visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 am with an hour of visitation prior. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
