CALVIN C. “CHIP” DENNISON, JR. Calvin C. “Chip” Dennison Jr., 63, of Perrysburg, OH died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Chip was born in Port Clinton, Oh on August 22, 1949 to Calvin C. and Irene (Mosely) Dennison. He was a 1968 graduate of Port Clinton High School and had attended the University of Toledo. On December 4, 1970, he married Kathleen Bortz in Oregon, OH. Chip was a restaurateur, proudly owning and operating Peppercorns restaurant in Perrysburg for 13 years. Previously he had been the General Manager of the Perrysburg Holiday Inn French Quarter for 26 years. Chip was the lead vocalist and lead guitar in the local band “Zefron Inc.” and was an avid golfer at Riverby Golf Course where he was a member of the “Bud Group”. He was also a member and active in the Perrysburg Chamber of Commerce. Chip is survived by his wife, Kathleen; sons, Eric B. (Laura) Dennison of Bexley, OH and Brett F. (Arika) Dennison of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Bailey C. and Ethan C. Dennison; brother, Darrel Dennison of Port Clinton; sisters, Chrystal Elms of NC and Debbie Fulkert of Port Clinton; mother-in-law, Mary K. Bortz. He was preceded in death by both parents, brother, Gary Dennison (1968), and his father-in-law Marvin H. Bortz. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg, OH. There will be no visitation and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorial contributions to be made to The American Heart Association or to Zoar Lutheran Church.
