BUELL E. “Gene” FRYE Buell E. “Gene” Frye age 84, of Oregon, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. He was born in Middlesboro, KY. on March 23, 1928, to William and Mary (Fultz) Frye. Buell proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean War. Gene married the former Thelma Spradlin in Toledo on March 29, 1961. He was employed as an Electrician for Interlake Steel and then went on to become a Supervisor at Green River Steel for five years before retiring. Gene and Thelma owned the Ship N Shore Nite Club on Consaul St. in Toledo. Gene formed his own Blue Grass Band with what he considered “ a fine bunch of guys”. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Thelma; children, Brenda (Robert) Juhasz, Phillip (Cindy) Perry, Richard (Wendy) Perry, Barbara (Patrick) King, and Elizabeth (John) Juhasz; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Sunday, February 24, 2013, from 2-9pm in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where funeral services will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
