April 11, 1938 — February 23, 2021

Buddy G. Burris, 82, of Marblehead, Ohio passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. He was born on April 11, 1938 in Gainesboro, Tennessee, the son of Raggio and Rose (McBroom) Burris. On June 8, 1963, he married Margaret Elaine Fedor at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead and she survives. He was a 1956 graduate of Jackson County High School in Gainesboro, Tennessee. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Port Clinton. During his younger years he enjoyed buying and fixing up classic cars and re-selling them. He especially liked Corvettes, 65 and 66 Mustangs, and 57 Chevys. He worked as a factory worker at Standard Products, Uniroyal, and Fenner Dunlap for 34 years until his retirement in 2000. After retirement he continued to work part time jobs to keep himself busy. A hard worker, he was always doing for others, but his main priority was providing for his family. He had a deep love for animals, which was evident by his compassion to feed and help any stray that came along. He enjoyed going to Amish Country and Branson, Missouri. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Elaine; son, Jeffrey (Susanna) Burris, Westmoreland, Tennessee; daughter, Christine “Tina” Burris, Port Clinton, Ohio; his feline companion, “Patticakes”; sister-in-law, Cindy Fedor, nieces, Diann (George) Tyler, Connie Schaffer, Julie (Chris) Britt; nephews, Mike Crowe, Randy Crowe, James (Janet) Fedor, and Stephen (Christina) Fedor; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Stella MacDonald, Helen Crowe, and Marianne Osborn; brothers-in-law, Rollin MacDonald, JC Crowe, and Andrew Fedor. Visitation will be held at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 9 am until Funeral Services at 11 am with Fr. Jim Brown officiating.
