Bryan R. Gerber

Bryan R. Gerber, 31, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 14, 2017. He was born on April 15, 1986 in Toledo, OH to Leonard and Sylvia (Mendez) Gerber. Bryan graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 2004, where he played football and baseball. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management and his Masters Degree both from Bowling Green State University. Bryan enjoyed weight lifting, going to concerts with his brothers, and was an avid Notre Dame Football fan. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Bryan is survived by his parents, Leonard & Sylvia Gerber, brothers, Charles Parker, Derek (Laura) Gerber, and Brandon (Dana DeHays) Gerber, uncle, Jesse & Ruby Mendez, aunt, Juanita McGovern, uncle, Frank Mendez, uncle, Roberto & Helen Mendez, aunt, Diana Mendez, uncle, Daniel Mendez, uncle, Gregory & Joanne Gerber, aunt, Kathryn Hinojosa, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roberto & Soila Mendez and paternal grandparents, Leonard & Marcia Gerber. Visitation for Bryan will be from 2pm-8pm on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor with a prayer vigil service conducted at 7:30 p.m. The funeral mass for Bryan will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 18, 2017 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 215 Church St., Oak Harbor, beginning with prayers offered at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH. Memorial contributions for Bryan may be given to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) or a charity of the donors choice.
