Bryan Lamont Davis, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on July 12, 1977, to Joyce Hannah and Keith L. Davis, Sr. Bryan found Christ at an early age and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to staying busy.
Bryan brought warmth, laughter, and strength to all who knew him. He had a gift for offering wise advice and was always willing to help those in need. His presence was a source of comfort, and his humor could brighten even the darkest days.
A lifelong resident of the Toledo area, Bryan was passionate about board games, spending time at the Game Room, and cheering on his favorite teams—the Ohio State Buckeyes and the New York Giants. A true fan of science fiction, he loved Star Wars and Star Trek. He also enjoyed traveling, seeking fun wherever he went, and making people laugh with his quick wit and sense of humor.
Bryan’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
He is survived by his beloved children, whom he adored, Michael Bryant Prothero, Daniel William (Mackenzie) Prothero, Anthony Robert (Fostina) Prothero, Victoria Ann Davis and Elizabeth Kathleen Davis; grandchildren, Anthony Prothero Jr., Xayden Prothero, Bryson Prothero, Alex Rybka, Jaxson Prothero, and his newest grandson that he was unable to meet, Carson Prothero; father, Keith L. Davis Sr.; his brothers, Corey (Erin) Hannah, Keith (Ashley) Hannah, and Keith "Tank" Davis Jr. (Amanda); and his sisters, Vivian Hannah and Ke’Sheaa Davis, as well as his cherished nieces, and nephews. He leaves behind special friends Max and Kim, who held a meaningful place in his life.
Bryan was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Hannah; grandmothers, Vivian Hughes and Marie Davis; and uncles, Anthony Hannah and Perry Hannah.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Walker Funeral Home at 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue. A visitation will be on Monday, May 26, 2025, from 4 pm to 8 pm. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to his children, in honor of Bryan’s life, love, and values.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
