Bruce D. Traver, 41, of Millbury, Ohio, died Thursday afternoon, March 21, 2013, at The Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. Bruce was born July 1, 1971, in Oregon, Ohio, to Darryl R. and Diane L. Pfeiffer Traver. On April 8, 1994, in Oregon he married Karen S. Wolf, who survives. Bruce worked as a farmer all his life, which he loved. He also owned and operated Traver Tree Service for 22 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling in Michigan and Canada and was very active in FFA and 4-H with his sons and raising cattle. Bruce was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Williston. In addition to his wife, Karen, Bruce is survived by his sons, Nicholas and Tyler Traver, both at home, his parents of Curtice, sister, Elaine Dale Gardner of Curtice, niece, Allison Nick Woods, sister, Rose McKee of Northwood, and niece and nephew, Kristen and Kurt. He is also survived by his in-laws, Ken and Barb Wolf of Oregon, Rick and Lisa Wolf of Claremont, MN, Diane and Bob Kapp of Curtice, Cheryl and Mike Hauter of Oakwood, OH, and Beth and Randy Luckey of Woodville. His canine companions, Mater, Humphrey and Lady, also survive him. Bruce was preceded in death by his in-laws, Wade and Audrey Wolf, grandparents, Ray and Evelyn Pfeiffer, Ralph and Rosella Traver, and brother-in-law, Greg McKee. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2013, and 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at St. John Lutheran Church, 21140 W. Toledo St., Williston, with interment to follow in Allen Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials for Bruce to go to St. John Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 235, Williston, OH 43468; Genoa FFA, 2980 N. Genoa Clay Center Rd., Genoa, OH 43430; or the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr. Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
