Bruce G. Stanton, 76, of Oak Harbor, died Monday, April 1, 2013 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born on December 2, 1936 in Toledo, OH to William and Evelyn Applegate Stanton. On April 25, 1968 in Toledo he married Sandra Jo Seward and she survives. Bruce or Bubba as he was affectionately known, worked as a master mechanic for Yark Automotive for the last 23 years. Bruce dearly loved his family. He enjoyed watching history and science shows, especially National Geographic and liked cars. Bruce was a handy guy and people knew they could go to him for anything. In addition to his loving wife of 45 years, Sandra, Bruce is survived by his son: Gary Dean Linda Stanton, sister-in-laws: Sheila Seward and Sally Gary Kranz, nephews: Mark Rhonda Spitler, Adam Spitler, and Phillip Tammy Jacob, nieces: Britt Tim Rathbun, Jennifer Dave Wozniak, Brittany Ryan Gillen, and Heather Kranz, great nieces & nephews, and dear friends: Darlene Jacobson and Michelle Young. Bruce was preceded in death by his son: William Kirk Stanton, In-laws: Harryette Kirchenbauer Seward and William Paul Seward, sister-in-law: Susan Tom Spitler, and nephew: Matthew Spitler. There will be no services. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Bruce may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor is assisting the family with arrangements.
