Bruce Alan Russell

Bruce Alan Russell, 61, of Maumee, died surrounded by his loving family on February 28, after a period of brief illness. He was born February 19, 1955, the son of Alfred and Marilyn Russell. He graduated Findlay High School in the class of 1973. On November 17, 1979 he married Lucy Buckingham Russell. He was the proud father of two sons, Brian and John. Bruce was a quick wit who enjoyed entertaining his neighbors and friends with his colorful stories; his love of grilling for friends and family; twenty years of annual golfing trips to Myrtle Beach; dark chocolate; and crossword puzzles. After ending a career in insurance, he worked with the ProMedica Courier Services. Left with wonderful memories are his wife and two sons; mother, Marilyn Russell; sister, Rebecca (Walt) Budrow; sisters-in-law Susan Gray, and Lisa (Daniel) Martich; brothers-in-law David Buckingham, and Mark (Laura) Buckingham; eight nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Russell. The visitation will be on held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:30 am, Trinity Episcopal Church, 316 Adams Street, Toledo, Ohio 43604.
