Bruce Quicker

Bruce G. Quicker, 82, of Lambertville, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. He was born in Sheboygan, WI to Carl and Petronella (Leonhard) Quicker on May 23, 1940. Throughout his life, Bruce excelled in many working roles; his most prominent was starting Toledo Industrial Maintenance Supply, first on Upton Avenue, then moving to Hill Avenue after his business grew. He owned and managed the business for over 20 years. He also contributed endless hours to Oasis Mediterranean Cuisine as a consultant. Bruce was a determined man who worked hard his entire life, not retiring until his health required him to do so at the age of 80. A good meal, gathering with family, and gardening are all things Bruce was passionate about. He was the best at sharing stories, which have now become legends. He was a charismatic, outgoing, wonderful man who will be deeply missed.

Bruce is survived by his beloved wife of over 25 years, Linda Schlachter-Quicker; children, Kimberly (Ken Pezzin) Post, Katrina (Michael Ody) Quicker; step-children, Vickie (Kevin) Kuhr, Rick (Michelle) Schlachter, Marc (Sarah) Schlachter, Christian (Melanie) Schlachter; daughter-in-law, Melanie Quicker; grandchildren, Amanda Mossing (Johnny) Honeycutt, Joshua (Aleese) Post, Jordan (LaNia) Mossing, Lauren (Drew) Post; Britton Ody, Maraea Ody, Kensington Ody, Graylon Ody, Kylee Quicker, Anna Quicker; step-grandchildren, Kyle (Morgan) Kuhr, Oscar Schlachter, Henry Schlachter, Jack Schlachter, Clara Schlachter, Emily Schlachter, Amelia Schlachter; many great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Sharon) Quicker, Dick (Gae) Quicker; sisters, Mary (Klaus) Michaletz, Rose Krepsky, Jean (Bob) Lokker, June Quicker, and countless extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Crystal Britton; son, Kerrigan Quicker; and brother, Carl Quicker.

Following Bruce’s wishes, services will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to the Walker Funeral Home, Toledo. Memorial donations in Bruce’s name may be made to Hidden Lake Gardens – Tipton, MI or Villa Maria Teresa – Hubbard, Ohio.
