Brian S. Gerhing, known to all as PIG, age 48, passed away suddenly October 20th. He was born to Robert and Joyce Gehring on August 11, 1969 in Toledo, OH. PIG was a 1987 graduate of Whitmer High School. A U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran of which he was extremely proud. A former Rossford Police Officer, he most recently owned Glass City Painting. PIG always loved to golf and organize the ever famous PIG Invitational, which everyone looked forward to playing in. He loved listening to music, enjoyed sports and was a lifelong LA Rams fan. He was most proud of his two sons Preston and Brian Jr. He enjoyed coaching them in multiple sports, teaching them to fish and to be well mannered gentlemen. His sole purpose was to ensure they were happy and wanted for nothing. PIG is survived by his loving wife, Lori; sons, Preston and Brian, Jr.; father, Robert (Kathy) Gehring; brother, Robert (Debra) Gehring; nephews, Robert Jr., Jack, Brent; niece, Lauren; mother and father-in-law, Larry and Debbie Adkins; sister-in-law, Liese (Mike) Zahabi; as well as an immeasurable number of friends he considered family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 2-7 at Connies Celebration 6195 Lewis Ave. Toledo, OH with a sharing of memories at 5:30 PM.
