June 14, 1958 — November 19, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Brian Dutton, age 67, who departed this life on November 19, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio. Born on June 14, 1958, in Marion, Ohio, Brian lived a vibrant and fulfilling life, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

A graduate with a Bachelor's Degree, Brian dedicated over 20 years of his professional life to the Federal Corrections Office. Alongside his career, he was a passionate coach and umpire, sharing his love for sports with countless young athletes. A devoted family man and community member, Brian was actively involved in his union and owned local sports teams, including the hockey team, the Wolf Pack, and the baseball team, the Tiffin Saints.

Brian was known by many nicknames-Brian, No-Neck, Bubba, and Garfield-all of which reflected his playful spirit and warm nature. He also held a pilot's license, which fueled his love for travel and adventure.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette Dutton; his daughter, Sandy (Jimmie) Moody; and cherished grandchildren: Michael Williams, Zachary Williams (Moody), Kaylee Moody, Alexis Moody, and Mikey Williams. He is also survived by his aunt, Dena Jacobs, along with many other family members and friends whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Ballenger.

Brian had a fondness for Doritos, donuts, Mexican food, and salsa, and was known for his love of life.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 9 am to 11 am. A celebration of Brian's life will be held beginning at 11 am. Friends and family are invited to join us at Walker Funeral Home, the Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Ave., as we honor his memory and reflect on the joy he brought into our lives.
