Brenda Leah Seimet

Brenda L. Seimet, 68, of Harbor View, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023, at Bay Park Hospital, Oregon, Ohio, after a lingering illness. She was born in Oregon on October 4, 1954, the daughter of Jack and Betty (Allen) Stieben.

Brenda is survived by her children, Brandee L. Seimet, Tabitha S. Seimet, and Joshua J. Seimet, the father of her children, Bob Seimet, grandchildren, Sabastian Michalic, Dominic and Serenity Seimet, and grandparents, Wesley Grimm and Della Grimm. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lynn Stieben.

Brenda was active in her community of Harbor View and served as the first female city council person and later as a co-chairperson for the parks department of Harbor View. She will also be remembered for her friendly disposition as a waitress at the former Peanut John’s in Oregon. In her younger years she went fishing with her parents and more recently she enjoyed Nintendo games, movie night, being outdoors and was an avid Stephen King fan.

A graveside service for Brenda will be conducted at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, 4210 W. Central Ave., Toledo, Ohio. It is suggested that memorial contributions be directed to the family, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
