Brenda Sue Mowka

Brenda S. (Thatcher) Mowka, 52 lived quietly and happily in Swanton, Ohio. She passed away Thursday morning, January 3, 2012. She was born on March 28, 1960 in Toledo, Ohio to Richard and Mary (Pfaff) Thatcher. She graduated from Springfield High School and Penta Career Center in 1978. She went on in life as a hard worker and amazing mother. Brenda had two children and three grandchildren. She was known to love the outdoors and playing with the grandkids in the pond and in the yard. She loved riding motorcycles and taking long motorcycle trips. The beach was her favorite place. She would walk up and down the beach for hours looking for seashells to collect. She was also an avid gardener and cook. Brenda was a strong, loving and caring mother, fiancé, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be loved and greatly missed by all. Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Richard Thatcher, sister, Beverley (Thatcher) Sarvo and brother-in-law, Orlando (Kathy) Garza. Brenda is survived by and lovingly remembered by her fiancé, Greg Koepfler of Swanton, OH., son, Derek (Denise) Molina of Swanton, OH., daughter, Angela (Victor Parra) Mowka of Swanton, OH., grandchildren, Kamon Molina, Tucker Stricklin and Kaidence Molina, brother, Richard (Debra) Thatcher of Delta, OH., sister, Cheryl Thatcher of Toledo, OH., brother, James Thatcher of Toledo, sister Kathy (Thatcher) Garza, sister, Jayne Thatcher, mother, Mary (Pfaff) Thatcher of Perrysburg, OH., and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Monday, January 7, 2013 in the Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio, 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M., Monday.
