Brandon Vasquez

Oct 18, 1993 — Aug 24, 2026

Brandon Vasquez, age 32, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026. He was born October 18, 1993, in Toledo, Ohio.

Brandon was a proud graduate of Delta High School, where he graduated with honors and proudly represented the school as a Delta Dolfun. Throughout all four years of high school, Brandon was a dedicated lineman on the football team and was also a member of the wrestling team. His love of sports remained an important part of his life long after graduation.

Since 2013, Brandon had been employed by Jeep, working as a team lead on night shift and back up team leader on the door line. He was respected by his coworkers for his dedication and commitment to his work which was exemplified by his service on the election committee.

Brandon was a devoted sports fan, especially when it came to his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys. He found even greater joy in sports through his children, proudly coaching and supporting them in their athletic endeavors. He was a dedicated coach who gave his time, encouragement, and enthusiasm to the Westwood Rams, where he will be deeply missed by the players, families, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Outside of sports, Brandon enjoyed the simple things that brought people together. He loved swimming and fishing and was an exceptional cook and griller. He never needed a recipe, relying instead on his own talent and instincts in the kitchen. Some of his favorite times were spent at cookouts with friends, preparing good food, sharing a beer, laughing, and making memories.

Brandon had a personality that drew people to him. He was beloved by everyone he met and had a way of making those around him feel welcome and cared for. Above all else, though, Brandon was a loving and devoted father. His children were the center of his world, and the love he had for them was evident in everything he did.

He is survived by his wife, Justice Vasquez; parents, Robert and Kerri Vasquez; children, Briella, Emilleo, Carmen, Ezra, and Elijah; siblings, Rileigh, Evan and Cruz; grandmother, Karen Gedman; father and mother in-law, Martin and Elizabeth Shannon; brothers and sisters in-law, Sierra Reynolds (James Mitchell), Staci Whetro (Kevin Kuff), Jasmine Shannon (Jessey Boakye), Jadeline Shannon, Martin Shannon Jr., and Mitchell Shannon; and 9 nieces and nephews.
