Brandon H. Crisp died unexpectedly on March 4, 2024, at his home in Toledo. He was 29 and his family is shattered with the loss of his life.
Born to Harry and Nancy (Uhler) Crisp on October 24, 1994, Brandon attended Rogers High School and graduated in 2013. He went on to become a journeyman electrician. He worked for Romanoff during his apprenticeship, and then went to work for Local Union 8.
With his love language of music, Brandon was able to express deep parts of himself in a special way. Playing and writing music was a gift. He achieved his goal of being able to audition for American Idol this year. His love of guitars and playing on the Cedar Creek worship team were so important to him.
Not only was Brandon musically gifted, but he was also a pro in the kitchen. He loved to cook, and you could always find a stash of ice cream, peanut butter, and cookies at his home.
His adventurous spirit led him to load up his van with his belongings and his cat and drive to California to live for a year while writing music. He had a way about him that was true and passionate.
Left to cherish every moment of his life on this earth are his mother, Nancy Crisp; step-father, Mark Dunlap; sisters, Deanna Ashbaugh, Patti (Dan) Tiepelman; uncles, Keith Crisp, Kenis Crisp; aunts, Elaine (Denny) Schaffner, Jean (Jack) Schnoegge; nieces and nephews, Kenny (Bailey) Mountjoy, Emma Ashbaugh, Kaylynn Ashbaugh, Chance Ashbaugh, Ian Ashbaugh, Connor Ashbaugh, Tyler (Brittnae) Heaton, Nikki Heaton; and many other family members and friends. Brandon was preceded by his father, Harry C. Crisp; and his grandparents.
A visitation honoring Brandon’s life will be held Sunday, March 10, from 2pm – 4pm at Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave.) with a memorial service beginning at 4pm. In lieu of flowers any monetary donations would go to help cover funeral expenses for Brandon.
