With deep sadness, Bradley John Patterson, age 42, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Brad is united with our Heavenly Father and reunited with his father, John, who he has missed for many years. Brad was a family first guy and a friend to many. He was a very loving and attentive father, son to his loving mother, Carol, husband, and uncle. He was always spending time with family and taking them on vacations. Brad made every day special and fun for his relatives and friends, but Sundays were always the best because he always called Sunday the Funday. It always consisted of either swimming, jet skiing, pontooning, or Game day at Dave and Buster's. He really enjoyed spending time on his boat and out at the islands in the Point with family and friends.
He was a generous and caring person. There were many times he would surprise a waitress at a restaurant who had told him that they were working their way through college with a heavy tip. He would wish them good luck with their goals and tell them to use the tip towards their education. Education was very important to Brad. He was well educated and was very professional at his craft. Brad was a person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone - unless the shirt was a Brown's shirt or an Ohio State Buckeye shirt since he was an avid fan of both. He was the first to send a wave of texts on Saturday by typing two capital letters O-H, to which he would receive a flood of responses of I-O from his intellectual friends and relatives. Brad loved listening to music, especially Eminem (his favorite rapper) and Lil Wayne. He was an avid collector of shoes with an extreme love for Jordans, which he almost always wore on his feet.
He loved all 4 of his children and all of his family and friends very much. He made every day a blessing, especially Sundays. Brad even took very good care of his fur babies, Evah and JuJu, who drove him crazy but he loved them dearly.
Brad is survived by his beloved wife, Jodi; daughters, Braelyn, Averie, Madisyn; son, Brayden; sisters, Judie (Rob), Jane (Dave “PJ”), Wendy (Robin), mother, Carol (Mark); parents-in-law, Dave and Laurie; cousins, Tracy (Ken); and countless other extended family members and friends.
Friends and family may gather on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 11 am – 4 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623, to celebrate Brad and his life. Those attending are strongly encouraged to wear their favorite sports team shirts or jerseys to keep the casual and comfortable feel Brad would want. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation made to the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation in honor of his loving father, John Patterson.
